The Abi Kattel Memorial Trophy has been established by annual Soccer Tournament which started on February 2, 2007, a day called “Super Soccer Saturday”. The Abi Kattel Memorial trophy was first presented to the winning team, the Florida Chautari, at the inaugural tournament between the Tampalese and Florida Chautari.
The foundation has been sponsoring the soccer tournaments of the Florida Nepalese soccer players. The soccer tournament is generally held during the Annual Dashain program (usually around month of October) of the Florida Nepal Association (now Nepal Association of Florida). The foundation presents the AKM Trophy to the winning team of the tournament.
